This week’s assignment comes from a former student, Shelby Jackson (instagram @shelbstaa)
This week as you walk around campus, begin to look around. But most importantly, look up.
Try to avoid only seeing things from your human apex.
You may be sitting, kneeling, or even lying down.
Don’t be afraid to squat or stand on a chair. Photography is about perspective. The more you train yourself to look for things, the easier seeing becomes. Take your time to not just take a picture, but compose an image.
You may stumble upon your image, or may know already what to look for. Explain why or how you came across your image.
For the record, note that neither of these pictures includes my hand. I am the photographer, not the subject. Also, note that there are no faces.
For the third also, note that the second picture is “LW” … did you catch it?
